This print symbolizes the dread felt after having a swab up your nose and waiting 15 minutes for a covid test outcome. It is a carved balsa block printed with dye ink to achieve the blurry effect that mimics the covid testing process. I created this print to show how something as simple as two light red lines, given the cultural context of the time, can cause a feeling of dread.
