My printmaking practice is informed largely by the idea that art has the dis-locating ability to transport you into different times and places. Through my cityscape prints I have been able to travel around the world without ever leaving my desk, something which has been especially poignant during the restrictions of the past few years. Ordinarily I work in lino, but the drypoint technique used in my submission reminded me of old, faded photographs and misty dreamscapes, ideal for the feelings I hope to evoke in my prints.
