Inspired by the artmaking séance practice of Hilma af Klint, an eclectic group gathered to write prompts to a text-to-image generative AI model. Surprising motifs of bricks, fireplaces, and doorways recurred in the images that were generated, as did symbols just beyond the group's comprehension-- linking the transformative potential of physical portals with the technology’s indeterminate future. The event inspired this print, which produces the mystical digital experience of the séance on paper through the tangible generative process of printmaking.
