I am a photographer and also do some printmaking . I adore the little press and have hopefully inspired many other printmakers to invest in one . This is my second time I have taken part in this Open Print Exchange . My print was taken from a slightly overexposed black and white photograph of my daughter as a child . I wanted to do it as a wood engraving but I didn't have a thin enough block . I was initially interested in the texture of her hair , however when I started to carve the lino I decided on simple lines throughout . It has inspired me to try using the original image in different printing mediums for future print exchanges maybe !
