Since 1 January 2022, I have spent at least fifteen minutes sketching a tree from direct observation each day. I drew the tree in my print from my imagination, but to me it embodies elements of the many trees (and birds, insects, clouds, and more!) that I've spent time with over the course of creating my sketches. I have come to look forward to and appreciate my "tree time" each day, and I hope a bit of that joy comes through in this print.
