I love creativity and connection. This is why the Open Print Exchange makes my heart beat faster. As the image for my print I chose a windmill, a typical Dutch image, bordered in blue as a wink to the Delft blue tile.
However, this is a special mill with also a kind of global exchange; Molen De Zwaan
This mill was built in Vinkel/The Netherlands in 1884. In 1964 the mill was dismantled and shipped to Holland/Michigan America where it is visited by thousands of tourists every year. Between 2014 and 2020, Molen de Zwaan was rebuilt in Vinkel through the efforts of many volunteers from our small village. Flour is ground, bread is baked, you can eat and drink, work and sing. It is a special place that brings many people together and offers space for everyone's talents. For me Molen De Zwaan symbolizes exchange and connection, just like this Open Print Exchange. https://www.vinkelsemolen.nl
