Inspired by my doctoral research that aims to establish the impact of educational policy on the classroom and artistic practice of Art and Design teachers at secondary schools in England. A theme within the research data is the complications surrounding teachers assessment of pupils artwork and the increasing levels of assessment, marking and data collection expected by teachers.
