The idea to portray a Charleston dancer came to me while visiting “Clärchens Ballhaus"" in Berlin. I chose the American dancer Beatrice ""Bee"" Jackson (1903-1933), the self-proclaimed ""originator"" of the Charleston. She performed in Berlin in 1932 during a European tour.
The print has been finished with a layer of gold leaf.
