The simple thatched croft house is a traditional type of house in Scotland particularly in The Hebrides, the islands off Scotland's north west coast. The beauty and wildness of these islands make them a very special place for me and a constant source of inspiration. The croft represents a connection to the past and to the harsh life which people led there on the edge of Europe.
