While on vacation, I discovered the book by Rien Poortvliet with the original title “Leven en werken van de Kabouter” on a shelf where you could swap books. I was amazed at how carefully and creatively the book was designed and how “scientifically” the life of gnomes is presented.
This gnome looks at us warily and perhaps a little suspiciously. Or at least that's how I imagine an encounter, because unfortunately I haven't met one yet...
