I prefer to print fine natural structures, mostly from plants. For this Open Print exchange, I chose a feather that I found in a park in Berlin. All ten prints show the same feather, but it looks a little different on each print. This is because each colouring with printing ink changes the feather a little. The background also varies slightly from print to print, as I used white, blue and copper-coloured printing ink, which I only mixed roughly. Sometimes a little more blue shines through, sometimes a little more copper. I particularly like the fact that the small press prints so precisely that you can see the fine hair-like structures of the feather.
