Inspired by the 1969 cinematic era, the bold ultra blue lino cut uses the subject’s glasses as a threshold between looking out and looking in. In the spirit of Anaïs Nin—that we see things not as they are, but as we are—the lenses become a mirror, suggesting that the view through her eyes is actually a vivid reflection of her own inner world.
