This body of work forms part of an ongoing experimental series that originated in a papermaking collaboration. In the summer of 2025, I worked with papermaker Petra Fuzes, founder of the Orf? Paper Mill, where I encountered the expressive potential of raw paper pulp. This experience led me to begin pressing my linocut engravings directly into the wet paper pulp, creating monochrome, minimalist relief prints. My practice is rooted in an observation of nature - its forms, textures, and rhythms - as well as the subtle traces of human presence inscribed onto the landscape. All depicted from various perspectives - sometimes looking down from above, other times gazing upward from the ground, or through intimate, close-up attention to details such as the waving of a grain field or a tuft of grass swaying in the wind. Drawing from the most elemental natural forms, my work seeks to capture the interplay of light, surface, and rhythm within organic - and at times geometric - structures. The choice of monochrome is deliberate: by removing color, the tactile qualities of form and texture become more pronounced. Through this reduction, the works invite a slower mode of looking, encouraging quiet contemplation and opening space for memory, calm, and personal associations to emerge.
