James is the first child (and so far - only child) we have cared for through foster care. We have since become his legal guardians. We are first time parents. I decided that James should be the subject of the submission as he was the main subject of our 2022. The experience has been unlike any other introduction to parenting that we have witnessed personally. Due to the circumstances, we are unable to share pictures of James, unable to share details of his very early life, and unable to share lots of what is considered 'normal' for young families - but I can share him here in this way.
