We coexist with a huge population of rats in a crowded city. They are tenacious and resilient. They are ready for anything and unafraid. I admire their ability to survive and adapt. I tend to personify them, I suppose. This print is just having a bit of fun imagining a Rat readying to swim in a place I love called Sesuit Harbor Beach in Cape Cod. Due to weather and storms the beach has become very rocky. It takes a bit of determination and love for the destination to make it in the water.
