Red Kite is a hand coloured dry point etching with a Gelli printed background, printed on hotpressed fabriano. Having taught Art for many years I see myself as multidisciplinary, but combining various printing methods and painting is the core of my current body of work. Flora and fauna are my main inspiration, as I work from my garden studio surrounded by nature. Using mixed media to explore colour and pattern in composition and the beauty of the natural world. Birds are a subject I return to frequently, but they are not the only creatures in my ever expanding menagerie.
