This piece was inspired by my twin sister. I wanted to convey the multifaceted nature of sibling dynamics: a harmony between similarity and individualism. I chose the imagery of Sirin and Alkonost from Slavic mythology to reflect my culture, and because these two figures are often depicted together and serve as counterparts to each other. To me, they represent the duality of the whole, each not complete without the other. In my image, they mirror each other's form, embodying the initial impression of similarity that twins often evoke. However, just like with twins, they are also opposites in many ways. And despite the differences, they exist in harmonious unity.
