The motif is a flower of the ""Telopea Speciosissima"", one of several subspecies of the Telopea plant, which belongs to the silver tree family. It can grow to a height of three to five metres and often grows as a bush, more rarely as a tree.
An edited original photograph was used as a template for laser engraving onto a sheet of Plexiglas, followed by a relief print on paper.
