My print was inspired by a photograph I took back in 2019 on a walk on the South Coast of England near Burlington Gap . This tree , possibly a Hawthorn or Blackthorn , looked old and yet so strong in its position on the top of the cliff , having had to endure the elements over a number of years . I wanted to try and recreate its character and decided on a tetra pack etching and delicate Japanese paper .
